Rear view camera and reversing camera in one white painted rust-proof stainless steel bracket. 8mm narrow angle lens fitted to the driving/rear view camera so that distance perception is more accurate. 2.6mm wide angle lens fitted to the parking/reversing camera so that maximum visibility around the rear of the vehicle is achieved.

IR LED's are used on the cameras to give a good image in the dark eg at night. IR (Infra Red) is invisible to the human eye, but is visible to the camera. This means you can drive with the cameras night vision without blinding following drivers with light.

The camera produces a mirror image, this is essential to replicate what you expect to see in a rear view mirror. This means that someone overtaking you will appear on the correct side of the screen as if it was in your regular mirror.

This rear view camera is most popular for motorhomes and vans. It is most commonly fitted to a vertical surface eg rear wall of motorhome, although can also be fitted to a horizontal surface eg the roof.

This camera uses a painted stainless steel bracket, which helps to avoid rust, we also use a matt paint finish to help avoid the flaking seen from gloss finish cameras on edges.

The image sensor used (the part inside the camera which captures the image) is the highly respected Sony 811 1/3" Sony CCD 700TVL. This model of image sensor that is produced by Sony, returns lovely vibrant colours, a respectable 700TV Lines Resolution, and good low light level sensitivity - for a good night time image. Check out our rating compared to other standard definition image sensors.

Choice of RCA Phono or 4 Pin Screw Connectors

Which choice you pick will depend on what type of system you are fitting to. Both connectors will give the exact same video signal performance. The 4 Pin setup has the advantage of just one cable needing to be run. Also if you use a 4 pin monitor, the monitor will regulate the voltage to the camera at a specific level, which gives protection from voltage spikes.

Selecting the RCA Phono option will give you 2 leads approx 45cm in length. At the end of each of these leads, the cable splits in to a yellow Phono RCA socket (which can connect to any of our RCA Phono Extension Cables), and a 2.1mm/5.5mm DC power socket. We provide two DC adaptor cables to red (+12V) and black (ground/earth) bare wires. DC Power extension cables can be purchased to extend the length of these.

Selecting the 4 pin connector option will give you 2 leads that take you to 4 pin connectors. As standard we will provide you with a small 8mm disconnect point approx 30cm back from the camera. This is to allow for a small cable entry hole to feed cables in. This then connects to a 50cm piece that terminates in the 4 pin screw connector. It is worth mentioning that if you don't plan to take the cable inside the vehicle body straight away you need the version with no 8mm joint, please leave us a note at checkout asking for no 8mm option. This means the cable will go straight to the more durable and waterproof 4 pin connector, ideal for leaving exposed outside in wet and freezing conditions.

If you order the 4 pin version and require cabling, please see our 4 pin extension cables category for all our cable lengths.

Outside of the UK Shipping

We shop around when selecting the best method for Europe (we avoid the cheap budget couriers due to parcels being lost). Southern Ireland is always sent via DPD. Other countries will usually be either Parcel Force, UPS, or Fedex. Please note that we require a phone number for international deliveries. Also if you are a company in Europe, a VAT number or EORI number will help speed up customs.

We remove the UK VAT (Tax) when any country other than the UK is selected in the shopping basket or checkout. From this point all prices on the site drop down to exclude VAT. If you are from the Channel Islands, please select Jersey / Guernsey from the country list in order to remove UK sales Tax.

60 day "Change of Mind" policy

We understand that for whatever reason you may need to return your purchase.  We provide a 60 day opportunity for you to do just that.  Simply give us an email or a phone call to let us know it is due back.  You are responsible for the shipping back to us but you will receive a full refund including the original shipping we charged you for your order.  We recommend getting a signed for or proof of postage when posting back to us.

All we ask is that you return the items in the condition they were sent in, with the packaging present.  You are welcome to have temporarily tested the product and unravelled things, but if you have cut wires, soldered, glued, installed and used for a while then this wouldn't be suitable for returns under the change of mind policy.
